Position: Channel Marketing Manager
Anticipated Start Date: Immediately
Reporting To: Jennifer Meighan, Director of Worldwide
Marketing
Position Description:
Primary responsibilities include developing, launching
and managing channel (reseller, VAR, OEM) value-added sales and marketing
programs worldwide: promotions, sales tools, MDF, and training. Works closely
with marketing and communications to develop marketing materials to promote
product and technology.
Programs will be designed to maximize revenue for key
channel accounts.
Works closely with the in-house and regional sales reps.
Also responsible for negotiating channel contracts and channel events.
Works to survey the marketplace, identify promotional
opportunities and strategic alliances with other vendors. Tracks general
industry trends movement.
Skills required:
Strong program management skills. Ability to "dive
in" and learn quickly. Ability to create turnkey solutions. Excellent
research, editing and writing skills. Demonstrated excellent communication
and interpersonal skills, and experience managing outside resources required.
Needs to be organized, motivated and able to prioritize and manage several
projects at a time.
Professional Experience Required:
At least 5 years channel marketing experience in the software
industry required. Push/pull programs and marketshare strategy desired.
Sales and retail skill a plus. Current knowledge of Internet market and
Java required.
Personal:
Flexible, good listening skills, upbeat, positive, fun!,
proactive and intelligent team player. Motivated to succeed, learn and
participate. Self starter encouraged. Must be able to work well in a very
fast paced and self-managed atmosphere.
Education: BA or equivalent.
